Howard McKay


Howard is a double-board certified Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of experience in the medical and aesthetic industry.  He was formerly the Director of Advanced Practice Services at Children’s Health with oversight of more than 350 Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.  Howard established the Trauma Nurse Practitioner role at Children’s Health and was actively involved in the success of the organization becoming the first pediatric level one trauma center in the state of Texas.


In 2009, Howard received recognition and was awarded the title as one of Dallas/Fort Worth’s Great 100 Nurses for being a role model, leader, community servant, compassionate caregiver, and significant contributor to the nursing profession.  He has served as an Assistant Clinical Professor for 10 years in the Nurse Practitioner Graduate Program at the University of Texas at Arlington and had the honor of serving an 8-year term on the National Committee for Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.  As a committee member, Howard Published education modules and provided item content for the test questions that are utilized  on the National Board Certification Exam for Nurse Practitioners.


Since 1995, Howard has trained under some of the leading aesthetic plastic surgeons in the country and has maintained an aesthetic clinic in both full-time and part-time capacities.  As a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Howard’s career is now focused on Family Practice and Internal Medicine along with incorporating the aesthetics into his practice.
